Job Summary
As a Facilities Maintenance Tech on the 2nd shift at GE Vernova, you will be a critical member of the Facilities Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing sophisticated manufacturing equipment. This role involves repairing specialized mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, performing machinery alignment, and collaborating with engineers and vendors. You will also conduct preventative maintenance, provide technical support for equipment installations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, all while working to accelerate reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
Must Have
- Troubleshoot and repair specialized mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment
- Perform and assist with machinery alignment and leveling
- Communicate detailed updates on ongoing repairs
- Collaborate with Facilities Engineers and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues
- Provide technical support during equipment installation or rearrangement
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
- Continuously seek professional growth through training and self-study in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Actively participate in Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Fulfill all other assigned duties and support team-based operations
- Able and willing to work in a tobacco-free environment
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work overtime or weekend shifts as needed

Job Description
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot and repair specialized mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment across the facility.
- Perform and assist with the alignment and leveling of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate detailed updates on ongoing repairs to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Collaborate with Facilities Engineers and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide technical support during the installation or rearrangement of production equipment.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent downtime.
- Continuously seek professional growth through training and self-study in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Actively participate in Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Fulfill all other assigned duties and support team-based operations.
What you’ll bring
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 10 years of full-time experience in industrial machinery maintenance with strong troubleshooting skills (electrical, electronic, and mechanical)
- Proficient in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), computer numerical control (CNC) systems, servo systems, and conventional electrical/electronic controls.
- Experience with direct current drives, machine programming, cutting or grinding processes is highly desirable.
- Must pass a comprehensive maintenance technician aptitude test.
- Able and willing to work in a tobacco-free environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working overtime or weekend shifts as needed with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (3PM - 11PM).
Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $46.170 - $47.418. This position is also eligible for shift premium when you work on an off shift i.e., 2nd or 3rd shift. Plus $1.00 USD an hour on top of base pay. This posting is supposed to close on March 2nd, 2025
