Field Application Engineer - Industrial & Automotive, Japan

The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for sales activities to OEM customers, managing the entire sales process from presales to post-sales, including technical support and project management to achieve quarterly Design-IN/Design WIN targets. The role involves significant communication and negotiation with overseas engineering, marketing, and manufacturing divisions to secure resources and gain product knowledge.

Must Have

• Responsible for all stages of the sales process from presales to post sales including technical supporting
• Responsible for project management with customer responsible
• Achieve quarterly Design-IN/Design WIN target
• Communicate and negotiate with divisional engineering, marketing sectors and factory manufacturing sectors
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in semiconductor or electronic industry as a field application engineer
• Able to discuss technical and business issues with the engineering managers of the customer engineering department
• Able to communicate and negotiate with the oversea divisional engineering & marketing personnel through telephone or email
• High sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
• Proactive, aggressive and action oriented mind
• Bachelor Degree (+4 years) of Technical/Engineering/Science field

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge and interest in digital, analog mixed signal semiconductor and optical/electronics products
• Knowledge of Motor control
• Business English proficiency
• Ability to travel to Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, USA and other countries
• Problem solving skills

• To gain technical knowledge/know-how for the product

Qualification

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in semiconductor industry or electronic industry as a field application engineer
• Able to discuss technical and business issues with the engineering managers of the customer engineering department
• Able to communicate and negotiate with the oversea divisional engineering & marketing personnel through telephone or email
• High sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
