We are currently looking for our future Field Service Engineer who will be working at Wabtec Netherlands in Ede.

Who will you work with?

You will report to the Site Managing Director and focus on installation, maintenance, repairs, and safety requirements.

How will you make a difference?

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible, along with 2 colleagues in the field, for the installation, maintenance, and repair of power rail systems at our customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will ensure that the rail systems perform optimally and comply with all applicable safety requirements.

What do we want to know from you?

• You have an MBO degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• You have at least 2 years of work experience as a service technician or in a similar role
• You have no problem traveling and staying overnight within the Benelux, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• You have no fear of heights
• You are in possession of a B driving license
• You are customer and service-oriented

What does your typical day look like?

Your tasks will include:

• Installing and commissioning new power rail systems
• Performing preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting
• Advising customers on operation and maintenance.
• Performing inspections and tests
• Documenting work
