Must Have

  • Daily processing of financial data
  • Debtor and Creditor management
  • Preparing periodic financial reports and analyses
  • Assessing and preparing annual accounts
  • Reconciling sub-ledger with general ledger
  • Drafting letters/contracts
  • VAT declaration
  • Archiving

Good to Have

  • HBO-level of work and thinking from a relevant education
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Residing in the Rotterdam region or within easily commutable distance

As a Financial Professional, you play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You ensure reliable figures, sharp analyses, and well-founded advice that contribute to strategic decisions.

SOEDESCO is an independent developer, publisher, and distributor of video games, founded in 2002. Our headquarters are located in Hoogvliet, and we also have offices in Madrid (Spain) and Pilsen (Czech Republic). We deliver creative content across multiple genres and platforms for a global audience in physical and digital formats.

About the position

As a Financial Professional, you play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You ensure reliable figures, sharp analyses, and well-founded advice that contribute to strategic decisions. With your financial expertise and analytical insight, you contribute to efficient, transparent, and future-oriented business operations.

You work carefully and punctually, and handle confidential information professionally. You are also resilient and proactively contribute ideas for improvements within the organization. Through clear reports and presentations, you effectively communicate financial results and insights to management.

This is an on-site position, based at our office in Hoogvliet/Rotterdam. Working from home is not possible.

The following tasks are among your responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of financial data;
  • Debtor and Creditor management;
  • Prepares periodic financial reports and analyses;
  • Assessing and preparing annual accounts;
  • Reconciling sub-ledger with the general ledger;
  • Drafting letters/contracts;
  • VAT declaration;
  • Archiving.

Job characteristics

  • Communicative skills both written and oral in Dutch and English;
  • Analytical ability.

The ideal candidate?

  • Has HBO-level of work and thinking from a relevant education;
  • Has at least 2 years of work experience in a financial/accounting position;
  • Possesses excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Has experience with the Cash software package or similar;
  • Resides in the Rotterdam region or within easily commutable distance;
  • Has excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
