Job Description

Role Overview:

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our core web application, focusing on developing and maintaining a high-performance, responsive experience across both mobile and desktop. You will be responsible for building new features using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, and will work closely with other teams to translate Figma designs and product decisions into well-defined, actionable engineering requirements. You will also be required to know how to integrate with backend APIs and services like Firebase Auth. You should have strong product instincts and be comfortable collaborating to make pragmatic, high-quality decisions that balance speed, UX, and technical integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain our core frontend product using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
  • Work fluidly with product and design, contributing to how features are scoped and refined, not just how they are implemented
  • Translate Figma designs into high-fidelity, responsive UIs for both mobile and desktop, using tools like Figma Dev Mode to ensure spec accuracy
  • Implement and optimize Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to ensure fast page loads and optimal performance
  • Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services, including authentication providers like Firebase Auth
  • Champion a high standard of code quality, component reusability, and scalability
  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend partners to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality user-facing features
  • Help identify technical tradeoffs early and shape product decisions through an engineering perspective
  • Transform product and design concepts into clear, actionable technical deliverables for the development team, defining functional requirements and acceptance criteria to guide implementation
