Job Summary

As a Senior Specialist Reliability on our Quality & Excellence team at Infineon, you will uncover root causes of errors, drive improvements, and implement solutions to ensure products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves evaluating and qualifying CMOS and power semiconductor devices, characterizing reliability at cryogenic conditions, and designing silicon test structures, contributing to the fast-evolving field of quantum computing.

Must Have

  • Evaluate and qualify reliability of CMOS and power semiconductor devices
  • Characterize semiconductor reliability using electrical measurement methods at cryogenic conditions
  • Understand degradation mechanisms down to 4.2 K and model its behavior
  • Design and layout of silicon test structures
  • Act as technical interface to internal development groups
  • Perform cross-site and cross-functional teamwork
  • Hold a technical degree in physics, microelectronics, electrical engineering or similar
  • Possess 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in semiconductors
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have experience in electrical measurement techniques
  • Possess deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics
  • Be familiar with programming languages like LabView and Python
  • Have some experience with low-temperature measurements and cryostats
  • Possess very good English language skills
  • Be proficient in German

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Evaluation and qualification of the reliability of CMOS and power semiconductor devices as well as passive semiconductor devices
  • Characterization of semiconductor reliability using different electrical measurement methods at cryogenic conditions
  • Gain an understanding of degradation mechanisms down to 4.2 K and model its behavior
  • Design and layout of silicon test structures
  • Technical interface to internal development groups and project management
  • Cross-site and cross-functional teamwork

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • A technical degree in the fields of physics, microelectronics, electrical engineering or similar
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of semiconductors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in electrical measurement techniques
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics and ideally integrated circuit technology
  • Familiarity with programming languages like LabView and Python
  • Some experience with low-temperature measurements and cryostats
  • Knowledge and experience in project management as a plus
  • Appreciation of open communication and the contribution of an international environment
  • Very good language skills in English and are proficient in German
