Job Summary

This role involves standardizing development documentation for LLM consumption and structuring datasets for AI-driven workflows. You will assist in embedding LLMs into the software development cycle to enhance efficiency and application capability. Responsibilities also include researching emerging LLM technologies, implementing state-of-the-art methods like RAG, agentic AI, and finetuning, and documenting the development process, challenges, and solutions. Candidates should be enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with proficiency in Python, Git, Linux, NLP, LLMs, and AI frameworks.

Must Have

  • Review and standardize development documentation for LLM consumption
  • Structure datasets (schemas, metadata) for AI-driven workflows
  • Assist in embedding LLM into various stages of the software development cycle
  • Enhance workflow efficiency and application capability throughout the software lifecycle
  • Research emerging LLM technologies and applications in software engineering
  • Implement and reproduce state-of-the-art methods (RAG, agentic AI, finetuning under supervision)
  • Document the development process, challenges and the solutions
  • Enrolled in Masters of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in Python, Git and Linux
  • Basic knowledge of NLP and LLMs
  • Hands-on experience with AI techniques and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow or Hugging Face)
  • Great adaptability to fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and capable to work independently
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Standard Documentation: Review and standardize development documentation for LLM consumption; structure datasets (schemas, metadata) to enable efficient AI-driven workflows
  • Workflow Optimization: Assist in embedding LLM into various stages of the software development cycle. Enhance workflow efficiency and application capability throughout the software lifecycle
  • LLM Research: Research emerging LLM technologies and applications in software engineering; implement and reproduce state-of-the-art methods, such as RAG, agentic AI, finetuning under supervision
  • Process Documentation: Document the development process, challenges and the solutions

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Education: Enrolled in Masters of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar. A focus on Artificial Intelligence or Software Engineering is a plus
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Git and Linux, paired with basic knowledge of NLP and LLMs. Microcontroller, AUTOSAR and graph technologies knowledge is a plus
  • Previous Experience: Hands-on experience with AI techniques and frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Hugging Face. Exposure to LLM techniques is a plus.
  • Ideal profile: Great adaptability to fast-paced environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are also self-motivated and capable to work independently
  • Languages: Fluency in English, written and spoken

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
