Job Summary

As a Senior Manager Foundry Selection at Infineon, you will be a key part of the Manufacturing and Operations team, focusing on External Wafer Manufacturing (EWM) sourcing. Your role involves defining supplier bases, driving RFI/RFQ processes to align with business needs and strategy, and managing foundry assessment and selection, including risk assessment. You will also lead negotiation aspects for business awards and interface with Contract Management to ensure business requirements are met. This position is crucial in shaping the future of cutting-edge semiconductor products.

Must Have

  • Define scope and supplier base for RFI and RFQ
  • Drive RFI and RFQ to match business needs, targets and strategy
  • Categorize supplier base according to sourcing model and strategic guidelines
  • Drive foundry assessment and selection process within RFQ (incl. Risk assessment)
  • Drive negotiation aspects for business award in line with business needs
  • Interface to Contract Management to guide them with business needs
  • Degree in Electronics or Mechanics in combination with Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or comparable experience in negotiations
  • Knowledge on semiconductor technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with negotiations methods and tactics
  • Understanding of business processes and decision criteria within the sourcing process
  • Fluent English skills

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • A degree in Electronics or Mechanics in combination with Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or comparable experience in negotiations
  • Knowledge on semiconductor technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with negotiations methods and tactics
  • Understanding of business processes and decision criteria within the sourcing process
  • Fluent English skills, while German is a big plus
