Job Description

A Game Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and designing gameplay experiences, systems, and features that make a game fun, immersive, and challenging. They work closely with programmers, artists, and producers to ensure that the design vision is executed effectively. Game Designers are key contributors to the creative direction of a game, focusing on user experience, level progression, reward systems, and game balancing.

  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., C#, Lua) is a plus.
Must Have:
  • Designing game mechanics, systems, rules, and user interactions.
  • Creating clear and detailed game design documents (GDDs).
  • Developing level designs, storylines, character behavior, and reward structures.
  • Balancing difficulty and ensuring a smooth gameplay curve.
  • Collaborating with artists, programmers, and sound designers to maintain the design vision.
  • Prototyping ideas and iterating based on player feedback and testing.
  • Conducting competitor research and staying updated with gaming trends.
  • Ensuring player engagement, retention, and a seamless user experience.
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, level design, and user experience.
  • Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, paper design, or digital editors).
  • Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.

  • Passion for video games and deep understanding of what makes games fun and engaging.
  • Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
