Job Description

Plarium is an international developer working on an unannounced, multi-platform third-person shooter. They are seeking an experienced Game Designer to join the Game Design Department. This role focuses on developing and maintaining game economy and game balance, including item balancing, loot tables, progression calculation, and analytical event planning for the large-scale, ambitious project.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with Unity and version control systems.
  • Experience writing scripts for Google Sheets.
  • Experience in deconstructing game economies or game features.
  • Experience working with game analytics.
Must Have:
  • Develop balance for in-game items and resource flow.
  • Create loot tables and calculate game progression.
  • Plan analytical events and create dashboards for feature performance.
  • Work with Level Design to place loot boxes on game maps.
  • Analyze and adjust current game balance based on analytics.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Game Designer / Game Economy Designer.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, including LOOKUP functions and auto-updating formulas.
  • Firm knowledge of probability theory and core principles of statistics.
  • Understanding of game economy design and resource flow principles.
  • Intermediate or higher English language skills.

We are working on an unannounced, multi-platform third-person shooter in a realistic setting with innovative gameplay. The project is large-scale and ambitious both from a graphics and game design point of view and from the technical perspective.

We are looking for an experienced Game Designer to join the Game Design Department as a member of the team responsible for developing and maintaining game economy and game balance.

Early-stage project visuals

Responsibilities

  • Developing balance for in-game items (price/rarity/quantity), and the general flow of resources in the game
  • Creating loot tables
  • Calculating game progression for features
  • Planning analytical events and creating dashboards to evaluate feature performance
  • Working with the Level Design team to place loot boxes on game maps
  • Analyzing current version balance performance and implementing adjustments based on analytics

What we expect

  • At least 2 years of work experience as a Game Designer / Game Economy Designer
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets including LOOKUP functions and auto-updating linked formulas
  • Firm knowledge of probability theory
  • Understanding of the core principles of statistics
  • Understanding the core principles of game economy design and resource flow design
  • English language skills at the Intermediate level or higher

Desired

  • Experience working with Unity and version control systems
  • Experience writing scripts for Google Sheets
  • Experience in deconstructing game economies or game features
  • Experience working with game analytics
