The Game Tester role involves manual testing of mobile games on Android and iOS platforms, executing various testing types like functional, regression, smoke, and sanity. Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs, verifying fixes, and testing gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, monetization, ads, and in-app purchases. The role requires collaboration with development teams and providing feedback to enhance game quality and user experience.
Must Have
- Perform manual testing of mobile games on Android and iOS platforms.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing on game builds.
- Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify fixes and ensure no regression issues are introduced.
- Test gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, monetization flows, ads, and in-app purchases.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and producers to validate requirements.
- Test across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
- Provide structured feedback to improve gameplay quality and user experience.
- 1–5 years of experience in manual game testing, preferably for mobile games.
- Strong hands-on experience with Android and iOS testing.
- Proficiency in bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or Trello.
- Familiarity with Google Play Console and App Store Connect.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and game development lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
