Job Description

As a German LQA tester, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of translated game software. This involves meticulously checking for linguistic errors, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. You will also verify the consistency of terminology with the developer's localization policy and ensure adherence to the game console manufacturer's guidelines. A critical aspect of the role is evaluating the translation quality in the context of the game's story and scenes. You will report errors clearly and concisely in the bug database and suggest more appropriate translations when necessary. You will collaborate to ensure that identified bugs are resolved in subsequent versions, repeating this process until the game is finalized.
Must have:
  • German language proficiency for software testing.
  • Ability to identify linguistic errors (spelling, grammar, punctuation).

  • Find spelling, grammar, punctuation, and all kinds of other linguistic errors.
  • Confirm that terminology is unified according to the developer's localization policy.
  • Confirm that the notation method follows the guidelines of the game console manufacturer.
  • Carefully examine whether the quality of the translation is high enough, taking into account the story and scenes in the game.
  • Report errors clearly and concisely on the bug database.
  • If there is a more appropriate translation or translation, we will also suggest it.
  • We will ensure that the bug is fixed and implemented correctly in the next version.
  • Repeat the above cycle many times until the game is finally completed.
