Global Features Editor, Glamour
Glamour is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and deeply invested Global Features Editor. In this newly created role, you will shape and commission feature coverage across Glamour US and the global network. Reporting to the Global Editorial Director, this editor will lead the strategy and execution of distinctive, innovative storytelling that resonates with audiences in the US and across Glamour’s five international regions, Mexico and Latin America, the UK, Spain and Germany.
This is a role for a highly collaborative editor who thrives in a cross-functional environment and can work fluently across Glamour’s editorial leadership team. Not only will you assign, edit and write ambitious features, but you’ll also play a central role in building a strong contributor network, partnering on global editorial initiatives like Women of the Year, and ensuring Glamour’s feature content is bold, inclusive, and culturally resonant.
You’ll be the type of editor who loves executing on BIG IDEAS, bringing fresh forward-thinking features and leading conversation-starting packages or projects that make news and draw in audiences. You will be highly organised - working across time zones and projects that will range from weekly to annually. A motivated manager who can inspire and encourage and bring the best out of your team.
Primary Responsibilities
Editorial Strategy & Execution
- Commission, edit, and publish high-quality features and packages across Glamour US, with alignment to Glamour’s global strategy.
- Collaborate closely with editorial leaders across the five Glamour markets (UK, US, Mexico, Spain, and Germany) to deliver features that work locally and resonate globally.
- Monitor cultural, social, and political trends to identify stories that spark conversation and strengthen Glamour’s position in the cultural landscape.
- Edit and top edit features as needed
Contributor Network Development
- Build, foster, and manage a strong network of diverse contributors, ensuring fresh voices, perspectives, and storytelling formats are represented across features.
- Nurture relationships with writers, journalists, and creatives, becoming their key editorial partner and advocate.
- Recruit top-tier freelance writers to contribute to Glamour, with a specific focus on diversity among our contributors
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Glamour’s leadership team on major editorial initiatives, including global packages, Women of the Year, branded content, video series, newsletters, and live events.
- Work in close collaboration with social and audience development teams to ensure feature content meets performance KPIs and reaches the widest possible audience.
- Collaborate with revenue and partnerships teams on sponsored content projects, ensuring editorial integrity while meeting commercial goals.
Team Culture & Process
- Help establish clear workflows and communication across Glamour’s editorial teams, ensuring features are delivered seamlessly and in sync across regions.
- Contribute to an inclusive, transparent, and collaborative editorial environment, championing Glamour’s values and mission.
- Coach, mentor and inspire a dynamic and global team of Editors and Writers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior features editor or equivalent within a leading media organization.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong record of delivering impactful longform journalism and storytelling.
- Established contributor and writer network, with the ability to expand and nurture global creative relationships and to spot new talent
- A big thinker, with a proven track record on taking on bold projects that have impact
- Impeccable instincts on what features and projects will draw in major audiences, start conversations, and make news
- Demonstrated success collaborating across teams, time zones, and functions.
- Strong cultural awareness and global mindset and a manager who gets the best out of their team
- Ability to manage complex editorial projects from ideation to publication under tight deadlines.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $125,000-$155,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
