Job Summary
SoftwareOne and Crayon are seeking a Google Cloud Engineer for a full-time, hybrid role in Kyiv, Ukraine. This role involves designing scalable cloud architectures, migrating workloads, building data platforms, and implementing AI solutions for customers across Ukraine. The engineer will work with Google Cloud technologies like GCE, GKE, BigQuery, and Vertex AI, providing operational support and collaborating with sales and delivery teams. Fluency in Ukrainian and Google Cloud certifications are essential.
Must Have
- Fluency in Ukrainian
- Design and implement high-availability, scalable cloud architectures
- Lead migrations from on-prem to Google Cloud
- Build and manage microservices environments using GKE
- Design enterprise data warehouses in BigQuery
- Migrate databases (Cloud SQL, Spanner)
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines with Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer, or Workflows
- Develop AI and ML solutions using Vertex AI
- Implement backup, DR, and cloud storage strategies
- Provide operational support, incident troubleshooting, RCA, and proactive performance improvements
- Practical experience delivering migrations

Google Cloud Engineer
Contract type: full-time | Location: Kyiv, Ukraine | Working model: hybrid

We’re looking for a Google Cloud Engineer who will design architectures, migrate workloads, build data platforms, implement AI solutions, and support customers across Ukraine. Local Ukrainian language is required as you’ll work directly with customers from the Crayon Ukraine and SoftwareOne Ukraine portfolio. Technical certifications dedicated to Ukraine are essential for supporting incentive growth and assessment delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with delivery, sales, and vendor teams to meet the region’s goals.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement high-availability, scalable cloud architectures (GCE, MIGs, autoscaling, load balancing) and lead migrations from on-prem to Google Cloud.
- Build and manage microservices environments using GKE Standard and Autopilot, including CI/CD, service mesh, ingress, and lifecycle management.
- Design enterprise data warehouses in BigQuery, migrate databases (Cloud SQL, Spanner), and develop ETL/ELT pipelines with Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer, or Workflows.
- Develop AI and ML solutions using Vertex AI, including MLOps pipelines, GenAI (RAG, Vector Search), Gemini Enterprise, and Dialogflow CX assistants.
- Implement backup, DR, and cloud storage strategies using tiering, lifecycle policies, cross-region replication, and automated protection for SQL, GCE, and on-prem data.
- Provide operational support, incident troubleshooting, RCA, and proactive performance improvements using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Trace.
What we need to see from you
- Fluency in Ukrainian (mandatory) and the ability to work directly with local customers.
- Strong Google Cloud engineering skills across infrastructure, networking, data, and AI workloads.
- Hands-on experience with GCE, GKE, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud SQL/Spanner, and CI/CD tooling.
- Practical experience delivering migrations, building scalable architectures, and troubleshooting production systems.
- Google Cloud certifications or readiness to obtain them to support regional incentive programs.
- Ability to collaborate with sales and delivery teams, contribute to accurate forecasting, and manage handovers smoothly.
