As a pivotal leader in the Global MR R&D organization, you will define and execute the long-term vision for System Engineering, ensuring our MR solutions meet evolving customer needs while driving business growth. Your leadership will directly impact product innovation, process optimization, and operational efficiency—critical for sustaining Philips’ competitive edge.
Your role:
- Lead a global System Engineering organization, guiding highly skilled professionals across multiple geographies. Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work with Project Managers, R&D, Operations, Marketing, and external stakeholders, building strategic networks to anticipate technological trends and market opportunities.
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for the Global System Engineering organization, maximizing business value.
- Lead departmental capabilities, ensuring readiness for emerging technologies while enhancing expertise in MR products and processes.
- Foster a culture of engagement, innovation, and entrepreneurship through coaching and leadership.
- Drive execution of NPI and MLD projects, ensuring operational plans are achieved within budget.
- Collaborate across departments and external networks to align strategies and capture market and technology insights.
- Translate business and market intelligence into technology opportunities, making data-driven decisions.
- Optimize product creation processes, strengthen competencies, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Strengthen succession planning, talent management, and career development initiatives to build future-ready teams. Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to drive growth and superior consumer.
You're the right fit if:
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Engineering, System Design, R&D with a proven record of leading complex global organizations in the medtech industry.
- Have experience with diagnostic imaging systems, with a preference for MR.
- Demonstrate excellence in systems engineering, product lifecycle management, strategic planning, and operational execution.
- Excel in stakeholder management, change management, and people development.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Innovation, Business, or an equivalent field.
- Are a visionary leader who inspires innovation, thrives in complexity, and consistently delivers results through collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and talent empowerment.
- Have experience working in a global organization across multiple locations.
