Job Responsibilities:
The HR Specialist will be the on-site HR representative supporting the full spectrum of HR matters at the Razer Shanghai office and locations in China without dedicated HR support. This is a generalist role combining both HR Business Partnering and operational HR responsibilities. Reporting to the GCR HR Leader and Shanghai General Manager, this role partners closely with peer HR leads for Razer Shenzhen and Chengdu, as well as global HR Centers of Excellence (COEs). You will work closely with the local managers, and various stakeholders to deliver a consistent and high-quality employee experience while supporting business needs.
- Partner with local site leader(s) and managers to advise on HR matters including performance, engagement, and team development. Support the execution of global and regional HR initiatives at the site level.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, internal moves, promotions, and employee changes to ensure a smooth and consistent employee experience.
- Maintain employee records in Workday® and ensure data accuracy. Serve as the go-to person for HR queries and support documentation, benefits, and HR program administration.
- Prepare and validate monthly payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Work closely with Finance and external payroll vendor to support timely approvals and processing.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team on interview coordination, work pass processes, and onboarding logistics.
- Address employee concerns, advise managers on people matters, and ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal HR policies.
- Plan and deliver employee engagement activities that support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and support special projects as assigned by the GCR HR Lead.
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors or the management team as necessary.
Pre-Requisites:
- Strong knowledge of HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, internal movements, and employee changes.
- Ability to ensure compliance with local employment regulations and company policies while applying sound judgment in employee relations matters.
- Skilled in coordinating payroll processes, validating data, and collaborating with Finance and external vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Comfortable using HR systems (e.g., Workday®) and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data management, PowerPoint for presentations, and SharePoint for collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and managers in both English and Mandarin.
