Industrial Automation Technician

O-I Glass, a global leader in glass packaging, is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician for its Recife operations. The role involves participating in safety programs, performing corrective and preventive maintenance on automation and electrical systems, diagnosing PLC failures (Siemens, Rockwell), editing logic in TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager, and Studio 5000, and developing/adjusting HMIs. The technician will also parameterize various inverters, diagnose industrial networks, and interpret electrical diagrams, ensuring compliance with NR-12. This position requires a technical background in automation or related fields and availability for full-time, on-site work.

Must Have

• Participate in safety programs, such as CIPA, DDS, NEAR MISS.
• Comply with safety procedures and use PPE.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on automation and electrical systems.
• Diagnose failures in Siemens PLCs (S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-300) and Rockwell (CompactLogix, Controllogix).
• Edit and revise logic in TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager, and Studio 5000.
• Develop and adjust Siemens HMIs (WinCC Comfort/Advanced/Basic), Allen Bradley (PanelView), etc.
• Parameterize Danfoss, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens inverters, etc.
• Perform diagnostics on Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus TCP networks.
• Develop/monitor improvements, tests, and machine commissioning.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and machine documentation and apply NR-12 concepts.
• Develop electrical command activities.
• Support mechanical maintenance teams in joint interventions.
• Record technical interventions and maintain updated program backups/versions.
• Comply with activities and controls as per internal procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations as defined.
• Technical Training: Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Experience in industrial automation activities.
• Availability to work 100% On-site in Várzea/Recife.
• Availability for shifts.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Office Suite and SAP PM.
• Experience with Palletization, Robots and Packaging Machines.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

• Technical Training: Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Experience in industrial automation activities.
• Knowledge of Office Suite and SAP PM (Desirable)
• Experience: Palletization, Robots and Packaging Machines (Differentiator)
• Availability to work 100% On-site in Várzea/Recife
• Availability for shifts.
