Within Devoteam Netherlands, more than 450 employees work in various sectors from five expertise pillars.
Within the Public Consulting pillar, we carry out numerous consultancy assignments in the field of change management, interim management, project management, IT Business consultancy, Agile information management, and service management. Our more than 60 experienced public consultants operate in the areas of organizational change, information provision, process optimization, and efficiency in business operations. We carry out these assignments within the entire public sector and have a special focus on the chains of the social domain (WMO, Youth Care, and Participation).
Job description
For our Public Consulting pillar, we are looking for an experienced Information Manager who will carry out assignments on an interim basis for our clients. Changes within the government are happening at an increasingly rapid pace. The political context and decision-making must keep up with this pace. Civil service organizations, residents, and entrepreneurs are becoming more demanding and therefore find it more difficult to follow the changes. It is therefore crucial that organizations identify and determine which solution direction is desirable for the challenges. As an Information Manager, you work at a strategic or tactical level on issues at the intersection of IT, information, and the organization, often at municipalities but sometimes also at ministries or ZBOs. You translate developments and trends in the field of information and digitalization into concrete policy proposals and projects. From your expertise, you look beyond the boundaries of your field to optimally support the organization together with the business operations teams. In addition, we are looking for a true bridge-builder.
Guiding tasks:
- Develop and formulate the information policy and information strategy for our clients.
- Analyze external developments (legislation, technology, business operations) and translate these into consequences for the organization's own information management.
- Coordinate and deliver a multi-year information plan and a roadmap for your client.
Steering tasks:
- Coordinate the inventory of the information needs of the domain and translate them into concrete projects.
- Translate i-Vision and i-Policy into initiatives, measures, and choices.
- Conduct preliminary studies and (have) business cases prepared.
- Responsible for the coordination and functional management of the BIM Organization (only for the social domain).
Advisory tasks:
- Advise the MT and concern, solicited and unsolicited, on i-developments.
- Advisory role in cross-domain projects.
- Advise on starting and prioritizing initiatives and projects within the domain.
As an Information Manager, you are able to perform the above tasks for our government clients because you have knowledge of the services and process chains of the domain. You know which problems are playing in the department and know and/or analyze the causes. In this role, you are the tactical-strategic right-hand person who picks up and executes information issues from the MT.
Job requirements
- You have an HBO and preferably a WO diploma.
- You have between 5 and 10 years of experience within (local or semi) government as an Information Manager.
- You have experience as an advisor in advising at a strategic level.
- You have the persuasiveness to engage people in your vision. And in the importance of good information provision.
- You have knowledge of the IT and information landscape and process management.
- You are accessible, communicatively skilled, and connecting - even where conflicting interests are concerned - and you can coach and manage understandably.
- In addition, you are familiar with change management and project management methodologies.
- Of course, you are very proficient in both written and spoken Dutch.
