A Day in the Life

We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our Infrastructure Operations team! We own the entire company’s production infrastructure, serving millions or requests per second and processing petabytes of data daily, seamlessly and without interruption.

As a member of our team, you will work with a small group of software and systems engineers to build AppLovin’s highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure and compute platform using cutting-edge technologies.

We are looking for a self-directed Operations Engineer who enjoys identifying and solving the most important problems around stability, observability and scalability and is driven to quickly obtain a deep technical understanding of new domains.

Who You Are

• Minimum 2+ years of working experience as a systems administrator, DevOps engineer, or SRE
• Functional knowledge of Linux - it’s not necessary to be a kernel developer, but you should know what’s going on a bit deeper under the hood
• Ability to navigate around Bash, Terraform, Python, and/or Chef
• Real-life experience working with Kubernetes clusters in production environments
• Experience working with GCP or other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Expertise debugging problems across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, hardware issues or memory leaks
• Ability to participate in week-long on-call rotations
  
  

Additional Strengths

• Experience or willingness to work with complex database systems of various kinds (relational, data warehouses, KV stores)
• Experience with highly-available large-scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of Go, C++ or Java
• Experience running and debugging GPU workloads
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

AppLovin provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.

US base pay range (total compensation package will be commensurate with experience)

$103,000—$207,000 USD
