Job Summary

This role will own the TCG research strategy and leads turning TCG research into actionable plans to improve or develop new products and experiences for the TCG ecosystem. This role will transform insights into actionable recommendations that shape product development and enhance player experiences. This role is highly influential, requiring strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in user research methodologies.

Must Have

  • Creates and maintains a TCG research strategy with a 3+ year time frame, including gaining alignment from key internal and external partners on this strategy.
  • Translate research findings into actionable plans that inform product design and experience improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure buy-in and ensure successful execution.
  • Provide consultation to users and leads cross-functional teams to address business issues.
  • Serve as a thought leader in user research, advocating for data-driven decision-making.
  • Eight (8) to eleven (11) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Deep experience with designing user research strategies and developing products and experiences based on user research.
  • Proven ability to design and implement research strategies that influence product development.
  • Expertise in customer segmentation, persona development, and market research.
  • Experience managing vendor-led research projects.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and SQL for analysis.
  • Ability to work and communicate across multiple levels (leadership to individual contributors) and different stakeholder groups.

Good to Have

  • Experience with writing and programming surveys through Qualtrics or similar tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of TCGs or other gaming experiences involving collectibles
  • Passion for Pokémon preferred

What you’ll bring

Base Salary Range:

For this role, new hires generally start between $127,800 - $151,525 per year. The full range is $127,800 - $191,200 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
