ISS STOXX is seeking talented research interns for the winter/spring of 2026 to support clients during proxy voting season. As an Executive Compensation Analyst intern, you will join the Data Operations team, assisting analysts by inspecting public documents and performing analyses on executive remuneration and pay practices for listed European companies, ensuring compliance with ISS STOXX methodology.
Must Have:
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
  • Fluent in Italian
  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Law, or in the process of obtaining such a degree
  • An interest in corporate governance, executive compensation, capital markets, research and data collection
  • A good eye for detail
  • The ability to assimilate large quantities of information

This may include considerations such as the appointment of directors, approving executive remuneration schemes, M&A, and equity issuances.
  • Shareholders are invited by public companies they have shares in to vote on a wide range of topics during annual general meetings and special meetings. They can delegate their voting power to a representative, who will then be considered a proxy. What you will do

is seeking a pool of talented and self-motivated research interns for the winter/spring of 2026. Our interns will be assigned to a dynamic regional market and guided by our top experienced analysts. The internship will take place during “proxy voting season.” Our goal is to support our clients in making informed voting decisions on that occasion.

As an Executive Compensation Analyst (m/w/d), you will become an integral part of the Data Operations team. The role entails helping deliver data and research on compensation systems of executives and management board members of listed companies in Europe.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting our analysts by closely inspecting publicly disclosed documents of listed companies.
  • Performing analyses about executive remuneration and pay practices for your assigned markets.
  • Complying with methodology on pay for performance analysis and qualitative assessment of listed companies.

What you will bring to :

  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written) and Italian.
  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Law, or in the process of obtaining such a degree.
  • An interest in corporate governance, executive compensation, capital markets, research and data collection.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • The ability to assimilate large quantities of information, work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
  • An organized and structured mind.
