Job Description

Within the Technical Support department of the AGS (Aviation Global Services) activity, Product Support Engineers (PSE) provide operational support for a specific portfolio of avionics products installed on civil aircraft and helicopters. They analyze return information from equipment from customers and repair centers, classify the causes of returns, and track repaired or replaced components or cards. This information is stored in a shared database and widely used for analyzing the behavior of Thales products in operation. In this context, the intern will participate in improving the processing of this data to simplify the daily work of the support teams.

Must Have:
  • Harmonize and reduce the number of standard texts used for each product, in consultation with the team's Product Support Engineers
  • Clean the database by reassigning these texts to each removal
  • Identify keywords to classify removals by category
  • Test a new classification method using keyword search on several product families to evaluate its performance
  • Understand the needs of operational staff and formalize them
  • Integrate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Read and write technical English
  • Be organized, rigorous, curious, and open-minded

This information is stored in a shared database and widely used for analyzing the behavior of Thales products in operation.

In this context, the intern will participate in improving the processing of this data to simplify the daily work of the support teams:

  • Harmonize and reduce the number of standard texts used for each product, in consultation with the team's Product Support Engineers.

The objective of this study is to limit the time currently spent on these tasks, which are essentially performed manually.

Your profile

  • You are preparing for your 2nd year of engineering school (aeronautical or generalist) for a 2-month internship.
  • You are able to understand the needs of operational staff and formalize them.
  • You know how to integrate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • You read and write technical English.
  • General knowledge in aeronautics is a plus.
  • You are organized, rigorous, curious, and open-minded.
