Thales is a global leader in high technologies specializing in three sectors of activity: Defense & Security, Aeronautics & Space, and Cyber & Digital. It develops products and solutions that contribute to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and more inclusive world. The Group invests nearly 4 billion euros per year in Research & Development, particularly in key innovation areas such as AI, cybersecurity, quantum, cloud technologies, and 6G. Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.
The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radio communications, resilient infrastructure networks and systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is easily accessible by public transport.
The Studies & Risk Management (EMR) department conducts Functional Safety (SdF) studies of the FMEA type (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) on electronic equipment designed by Thales.
To improve the productivity level of these studies (feedback, collaborative work, "capitalization"), you will participate within the department in the development and improvement of a "dysfunctional simulation" module by enriching it with new functionalities.
Based on the existing software, you will define, design, and develop a Proof Of Concept (POC) allowing:
As part of this internship, you will participate in the development of software tools aimed at facilitating the simulation and analysis of electronic schematics.
Your main missions will be to:
Are you currently in your final year of engineering school or master's in engineering, ideally with a specialization in electronics, and are you looking for a 6-month end-of-study internship?
Do you possess:
Knowledge in Functional Safety as well as in programming or software development would be an appreciated asset.
Are you autonomous, rigorous, and have good organizational skills?
Do your analytical mind, communication skills, and listening ability allow you to collaborate effectively within a team?
Curious and proactive, do you like to learn and actively contribute to the projects entrusted to you?
This work will enrich the tools available for the SdF engineer.
The entire project, conducted according to the THALES framework, will conclude and be validated by a practical application on a significant example of electronic equipment.
This study will allow you to directly apply your knowledge in electronics, work in tandem with IT development, and acquire a first experience in the field of functional safety.
Do you want to take on the challenge? Don't hesitate to apply!
All our internships are formalized by an agreement and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined by your level of study. The position may require access to information related to national defense secrecy; the selected person will undergo a security clearance procedure, in accordance with the provisions of articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the Defense Code and IGI 1300 SGDSN/PSE of August 9, 2021.
Thales, a Handi-Engaged company, recognizes all talents. Diversity is our best asset. Apply and join us!
