Job Summary
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will design and develop business insights and analytics solutions, solving complex data visualization, modeling, curation, and reporting problems across Sumo Logic’s cloud services and business applications. You will work with a skilled team, reporting to the Global Head of IT and guided by the Lead IT Systems Engineer. This role requires a strong IT operations expert passionate about scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions, with a focus on customer satisfaction and building lasting relationships in a fast-moving global environment.
Must Have
- Deliver exceptional end user support via Helpdesk & Triage services.
- Oversee user endpoints with advanced security and functionality.
- Spearhead seamless integration of IT systems.
- Champion automation initiatives across IT operations.
- Manage diverse user application portfolio with support and updates.
- Lead provisioning of user accounts, ensuring secure access.
- Provide basic technical support for AWS Marketplace services.
- Administer Jira for proficient task management and issue tracking.
- 3+ years of experience in End User Services and helpdesk support.
- Proficiency in user endpoint management tools like JAMF and Kandji.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT system integrations.
- Strong familiarity with IT automations, including BASH and Powershell.
- Experience in user application portfolio management.
- Knowledge of user provisioning processes, particularly utilizing Okta.
- Regular responsibility for AV equipment management.
- Proficiency in Jira Administration, including Atlassian and Confluence.
Good to Have
- Experience in cloud services and management (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience managing security hardware devices such as cameras and door readers.
- Experience working with and managing third-party MSP relationships.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and practices, as well as vendor and contract management.
Job Description
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will actively contribute to, execute for, and lead IT in the design and development of business insights and analytics solutions. You will be instrumental in helping us solve complex data visualization, modeling, curation, and reporting problems among Sumo Logic’s robust inventory of cloud services, data tooling, and business applications. You will work closely with a team of highly skilled individuals to deliver on high impact engagements at Sumo Logic, reporting directly to the Global Head of IT and engaging projects under the guidance of the Lead IT Systems Engineer.
You are a strong IT operations expert who is passionate about scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions. You care about delivering on customer requests with a high attention to detail, a sense of natural curiosity, and a focus on building lasting relationships. You are at home when helping the group come up with a better solution than you would as individuals and providing experienced guidance and insight to those around you. You are comfortable in a fast-moving environment with responsibility for global hardware and end user device needs, alongside a host of IT applications. Ideally, you have experience with performance, scalability, and reliability issues of 24x7 uptime systems and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional end user support via Helpdesk & Triage services, showcasing a strong dedication to promptly resolving issues and ensuring utmost customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit advanced expertise in overseeing user endpoints, emphasizing a high degree of security and functionality while consistently delivering effective endpoint management solutions.
- Spearhead the seamless integration of IT systems, focusing on optimizing operations and enhancing efficiency. Prove successful in implementing and fine-tuning integrations to meet organizational needs.
- Champion automation initiatives across IT operations to streamline processes and workflows. Show a history of implementing automation solutions that boost operational efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
- Manage the diverse user application portfolio with a keen focus on providing outstanding support and regular updates. Demonstrate expertise in ensuring applications align with user needs and contribute to operational success.
- Lead the provisioning of user accounts, maintaining a commitment to providing secure access to systems and applications. Demonstrate a track record of delivering provisioning services accurately and efficiently.
- Provide basic technical support for AWS Marketplace services, ensuring timely and effective assistance for customers. Exhibit a wealth of experience in supporting AWS products and services, prioritizing customer satisfaction throughout.
- Administer Jira for proficient task management and issue tracking within the IT operations department. Showcase a history of optimizing Jira administration to enhance team productivity and customer contentment.
- Collaborate with other IT teams as needed to drive forward joint efforts
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in providing End User Services, specializing in helpdesk & triage support, with a strong emphasis on carefully executing Jira tickets and delivering high quality and reusable Confluence documentation
- Proficiency in user endpoint management tools such as JAMF and Kandji, with a proven track record of successful endpoint management
- Demonstrated expertise in IT system integrations, showcasing the ability to integrate various systems for enhanced performance and efficiency
- Strong familiarity with IT automations, including scripting languages like BASH and Powershell, and a history of implementing automation solutions
- Experience in user application portfolio management, ensuring effective support and updates for user applications
- Knowledge of user provisioning processes, particularly utilizing Okta for secure and efficient provisioning of user access
- Regular responsibility for AV equipment management as setup
- Basic AWS ability to provide technical support for marketplace services, with specific experience in AWS Marketplace technical support a bonus
- Proficiency in Jira Administration, including tools like Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence, to manage tasks, issues, and documentation effectively
