Job Description

The client is a major payment transactions processor. This role is part of the Operations & Technology team, focusing on developing new capabilities and driving Quality Engineering best practices. The Java Tech Lead will collaborate with development teams to enhance software development processes, build high-quality software, monitor automation of regression test-suites, and provide strategic support for applications and systems. The role involves leading stakeholders through demos, coordinating requirements reviews, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Must Have:
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in Java, REST API, Collections, Spring Boot, Microservices, Multithreading, JPA, Spring Security Concepts, DB Queries syntax, performance tuning, JUnits.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with hands-on technical and quality engineering skills.
  • Developed and designed at least one full lifecycle of a project as a key developer working on design patterns i.e., creational, structural and behavioral design pattern (an expert level command is required).
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.
  • Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.

Unlike similar quality/testing roles in other organizations, Quality Engineering positions require a firm knowledge and hands on software development skills on par with software developers to work closely them to build test automation, test infrastructure, and perform code analysis/review to enable development quality. This position will be responsible for driving strategic leadership and Quality Engineering best practices within team in working with teams to deliver applications and solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders, including consumers, merchants, issuers and governments. ##### Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our development teams to enhance our existing software development processes.
  • Drive Quality Engineering methodologies and help build high quality software.
  • Monitor and maintain the automation of regression test-suites on daily basis.
  • Provides strategic support related to specific applications and systems; assists with implementing service improvements across delivery teams and other functions.
  • Leads stakeholders through demos, presentations, and prototypes.
  • Coordinates requirements reviews and performance testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness and time-to-market.
  • Provides input into performance appraisal processes for junior employees and/or team members.

Must have

  • Java Tech Lead for PAN India location with 8-10 years of relevant experience in Java, REST API, Collections, Spring Boot, Microservices, Multithreading, JPA, Spring Security Concepts, DB Queries syntax, performance tuning, JUnits, Excellent Communication Skills, etc
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with hands-on technical and quality engineering skills
