Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer - 12 Month FTC (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer on a 12 month fixed term contract to help scale the Shared Technology: Infrastructure team here at nDreams.

You will play a key role in shaping our Infrastructure service delivery model across the different nDreams studios and help pioneer development in live service games for VR that will entertain players for years.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of professional Cloud DevOps experience working closely with the development team, or equivalent software engineering experience in other industries.

Industry experience and exposure to gaming industry will be an added advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, working closely with our Cloud DevOps Engineer and development teams.
• Support the automation of deployment processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor our AWS system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud services.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Help manage and optimize cloud costs and participate in Cloud Economics related activities.
• Contribute towards documentation of processes and best practices on all Infrastructure related projects.
• Work closely with our IT team on Cloud infrastructure related issues.

Essential Capabilities:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cloud DevOps role or On-Premises Infrastructure Management.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS (preferably), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity and exposure to CI/CD tools like AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Exposure to or experience in any of the scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to or experience in any containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to or experience in any industry version control systems, like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm to learn and to be mentored.
• Excellent teamwork abilities.
