Nasdaq is seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our growing Payroll Team in Vilnius. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented candidate to contribute to payroll operations across the EMEA region while focusing on systems analysis, process improvements, and advanced reporting capabilities. The specialist will verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, control employee information, process payments, analyze financial reports, and manage relations with payroll vendors.

  • Experience or at least active practicing during studies with Power BI and/or Alteryx
Must Have:
  • Currently completing final year of studies or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent field
  • Systems-focused mindset with strong analytical skills and proactive curiosity for process improvements, new tools and technologies
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, data analysis)
  • Strong problem-solving nature with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nasdaq is seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our growing Payroll Team in Vilnius. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented candidate to contribute to payroll operations across the EMEA region while focusing on systems analysis, process improvements, and advanced reporting capabilities. Even though the role is temporary, practicing on assigned roles will strongly contribute to apply to other internal roles afterwards.

What you will do:

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, control employee information, monthly payroll changes, process payments
  • Analyze and create financial reports
  • Respond to internal/external auditors' requests
  • Participate in month-end closing activities
  • Manage relations with payroll vendors
  • Analyze payroll data and create reports to help improve payroll operations
  • Test and improve processes using tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel to make payroll more efficient
  • Test systems and bank connections to ensure everything works properly
  • Work on projects to upgrade systems and improve how the payroll team operates

What we expect:

  • Currently completing final year of studies or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent field

What happens now?

Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 3 days per week.

Monthly base salary 2000 – 2500 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.
