Job Summary
As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will ensure uninterrupted global communication and mission readiness for Air Force Platform One and Air Mobility Command. Operating in a fast-paced, high-trust environment, you'll support live systems for real-time collaboration for U.S. defense teams worldwide. Your role involves engineering and optimizing Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP, guaranteeing uptime for mission-critical chat operations, automating cloud infrastructure, and implementing secure, compliant architectures aligned with DoD DevSecOps standards. You will collaborate across DevSecOps, Security, and Cloud Architecture teams, conducting R&D on scalability and performance.
Must Have
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, and GitOps
- Experience with custom CRDs, controllers, and operators
- Strong Linux and networking foundation
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with AWS / Azure / GCP

Your expertise will build resilience, security, and scalability into the core of national operations.
⚙️ What You’ll Do
- Engineer and optimize Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Guarantee uptime and system integrity for mission-critical chat operations (Mattermost)
- Automate cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps
- Implement secure, compliant architectures aligned with DoD DevSecOps standards
- Collaborate across DevSecOps, Security, and Cloud Architecture teams
- Conduct R&D on scalability and performance during non-peak windows
🧠 What You Bring
