The Lead Product Engineer will act as a Technical Evangelist for the Analog Design Environment (ADE) tools. The role involves contributing to the product launch and adoption cycle, with a focus on cloud solutions for IC design and ML-driven algorithms. Based in Edinburgh, the engineer will collaborate with a global R&D organization, creating feature specifications, managing customer issues, conducting expert testing, and developing educational materials for field teams and customers. This role offers a chance to work within a team and contribute to innovative technology solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's in Electronic or Computer Engineering and 4+ years experience.
  • Experience with Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE) tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with analog circuit simulation.
  • Background in CAD.
  • Knowledge of SKILL language.
  • Analog/mixed signal circuit design.

Job Title: Lead Product Engineer

Location: Edinburgh

                                               

Reports to: Product Engineering Director

Job Overview:

The Product Engineer will be a Technical Evangelist for our Analog Design Environment (ADE) tools which provide a powerful interactive environment for configuring and managing custom analog, RF and mixed signal circuit design and simulation. The ADE roadmap is driven by significant innovation in cloud solutions for IC design, as well as ML-driven algorithms for circuit design, so this is an excellent opportunity to contribute during the product launch and adoption cycle.

Based at our Edinburgh office, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced local team in a global R&D organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with internal R&D, field teams and customers to create feature specifications.
  • Handle incoming customer issues.
  • Perform expert testing.
  • Develop collateral for promotion and education of field AE’s and customers.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bs Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering and at least 4 years of related experience. MSc EE or Computer Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE) (or competitor’s custom design environment tools).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with analog circuit simulation
  • Background in CAD
  • Knowledge of SKILL language
  • Analog/mixed signal circuit design

  • Be able to work and integrate well in a team environment.
  • Have a pro-active attitude to problem solving and optimisation.
