Job Description

Cadence is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its Sigrity R&D team. This role involves applying advanced optimization and analysis algorithms to complex semiconductor and electronic design problems. The engineer will contribute to software development for IC package physical design and analysis of power integrity, signal integrity, and electromagnetic interference, with a focus on exploring AI techniques to enhance solver capabilities.
Good To Have:
  • MS/PhD in EE, CS, math, or related degree.
  • Experience exploring AI techniques for solvers.
Must Have:
  • Strong background in computational electromagnetics, circuit theory, and C++.
  • Experience developing software, preferably in the EDA domain.
  • Knowledge of SI, PI, EMI, and EMC.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Requirements for our ideal candidate:

  • MS/PhD in EE, CS, math, or related degree. MS with 2~5 years, PhD with 0~3 years
  • Strong background on computational electromagnetics, circuit theory and C++
  • Experience developing software, preferably in the EDA domain
  • Knowledge of SI, PI, EMI and EMC
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills to resolve complex software issues
  • Explore artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to enhance the speed and capacity of solvers for handling complex, next-generation designs
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and able to work collaboratively
