Job Description

Skills and Competencies:

  • Commercial .NET development experience in a complex application environment with multiple parallel development streams.
  • MS SQL Server experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of .NET frameworks, preferably as a full-stack developer.
  • Ability to debug complex production code and provide effective workarounds for urgent fixes.
  • A pragmatic approach to software development, balancing speed and quality.
  • Expertise in designated areas of technical specialization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Prior knowledge and skills:

  • Strong experience with TFS and Visual Studio products.
  • Have extensive coding, testing and documentation experience.
  • Experience in creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
  • Experience in analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of financial & investment products including Superannuation, Unit Trust and Pension products is desirable.
  • Experience working in a geographically distributed team environment.
