Job Summary

As a Logistics Engineer at Quest Global, you will be crucial in ensuring compliance with EHS policies, maintaining product quality, and achieving production efficiency goals. Your role involves guiding and training employees, implementing 5S activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also support daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely customer schedules, leveraging strong communication and leadership skills.

Must Have

  • Ensure shop is fully compliant (Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety)
  • Conduct safety inspections/ walks
  • Implement and maintain 5S activities throughout the production area
  • Ensure all machine tools comply with preventative maintenance and calibration requirements
  • Periodically audit production area to ensure all gages are certified and calibrated
  • Guide and train current employees and new hires on Siemens Energy/Logistics processes
  • Work with Supervisor on validating and maintaining operator skills
  • Develop training plans that help close the skills gaps within the Logistics team
  • Attend and participate in risk mitigation and readiness meetings
  • Develop and promote continuous improvement ideas in conjunction with Logistics team
  • Participate in 5 Why/Root Cause reviews and support corrective action development and rollout
  • Actively participate in shift changeover with Logistics personnel
  • Assist/modify work assignments each shift that align with CoC schedules and hand over dates
  • Participate in and conduct pre-job briefs and afternoon Safety Resets
  • Constant interaction with operators and supervisor on shift success and identify help that is required
  • Identify issues early, provide feedback to supervisor and help troubleshoot when Logistics activities are not meeting expectations
  • Ensure information (Gemba) boards are kept up to date
  • Perform schedule lookahead to ensure necessary tools, information and materials are ready in advance of starting tasks
  • Meet with shipping coordinator daily for forecasted shipments and requirements needed
  • Fill in for Supervisor during vacations and absences
  • Strong safety, quality, and positive mindset
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong people skills – first line of support with shop
  • Good leadership skills – assignments, delegation, and unbiased approach to issue resolution
  • 3-5 years Logistics related experience
  • OIL Skills/Project Efficiency
  • SAP skills must
  • Understand shop flow & be able to quickly move people to different tasks based on changing priorities
  • Committed to supporting production schedules to ensure products ship on time including modified work hours

What You will Do:

As a Logistics engineer you will be part of the team that is responsible to ensure all activities are executed in a manner that complies with EHS policies and regulations, product quality is never compromised, production efficiency goals are met and/or exceeded and customer schedules are maintained.

Pay Range:

($60k to $68k)

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
