Logistics Planner and Asset Controller

We are seeking a proactive Logistics and Asset Planning Controller to manage van scheduling, installer planning, and asset movement, ensuring efficient and timely operations. This hybrid role involves balancing commercial priorities with logistical efficiency, planning daily movements, tracking KPIs, and managing stock across depots. The successful candidate will collaborate with various partners, sign off installation plans, handle emergency changeovers, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This position is ideal for a detail-driven individual who enjoys problem-solving, accountability, and keeping operations flowing smoothly.

Must Have

• Take ownership of van scheduling, installer planning, and asset movement
• Ensure smooth, efficient, and on-time operations
• Balance commercial priorities with logistical efficiency
• Plan daily van movements and respond to real-time changes
• Track KPIs and manage stock across depots and satellite hubs
• Work closely with Commercial, Logistics, and external partners
• Sign off final installation plans
• Manage emergency changeovers

Role Title: Logistics and Asset Planning Controller

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Hybrid – 2 x days homebased and 3 x days either our offices in Ashby-de-la-Zouch or Burton on Trent

Salary: £28,300 per annum.

From planning daily van movements and responding to real-time changes, to tracking KPIs and managing stock across depots and satellite hubs, you’ll play a key part in keeping our installations on track.

You’ll work closely with Commercial, Logistics, and external partners, sign off final installation plans, manage emergency changeovers, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Reporting, stock control, and continuous improvement will all be part of your day-to-day, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, accountability and collaboration.
