Job Description

Reddit is seeking a talented Manager, Mid-Market Sales for the DACH region to lead and grow its Mid-Market Sales business. This role involves setting sales strategy, building a strong sales culture, and exceeding revenue targets by coaching and motivating a team of sellers. The manager will leverage industry knowledge and relationships to support sales efforts, stay updated on market trends, and collaborate with Product and Marketing for product enhancements and market positioning. The position requires defining playbooks, representing Reddit at industry events, and contributing to the international leadership team's strategy for scale and growth. A key aspect is fostering an inclusive team culture and driving financial and operating targets in alignment with the strategic plan. The role requires deep understanding of the DACH digital marketing ecosystem and experience in building scaled books of business.
Must have:
  • 8+ years in digital media sales
  • 1-3 years leading sales teams
  • Key understanding of Mid-Market sales in Germany, Austria, Switzerland

As we continue to embark on our international expansion, we are searching for a talented sales leader to grow and develop our Mid-Market Sales business in the DACH region. We are looking for a leader who will champion our culture and values for our EMEA Sales team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a Mid-Market Sales team supporting our brand partnerships in DACH, where we are still in the early stages of building our presence. You will report into our Head of Mid-Market DACH as part of our Mid-Market DACH Sales organization. The leader we’re looking for has deep market knowledge from years of navigating the DACH digital marketing ecosystem, has successfully built and delivered on a Scaled book of business, and can effectively coach, support, and motivate teams of sellers to succeed within ambiguity. You would be a key pillar to Reddit’s business strategy as we forge world-class partnerships with regional brands.

We are looking for a leader who will champion our culture and values for our DACH teams. Our Dach Scaled sales teams are working out of a continental hub based in Amsterdam and as such this role is required to work from our Amsterdam office.

This role is required to be based in Amsterdam and work from our Amsterdam office 3 days per week.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Define the playbook: Set the sales strategy and tactics for your market, implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth from Mid-Market clients in the DACH
  • Build a strong sales culture, leading your team to exceed established revenue targets and role model Challenger sales and sales rigor
  • Leverage your industry knowledge and relationships with key decision-makers to support your team’s sales efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and ensure the team is delivering the highest impact 
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to provide feedback and insights, drive product enhancements and new product launches, and align on market positioning
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to develop financial and operating targets, ensuring alignment with strategic plan
  • Represent Reddit in the DACH market by speaking at key industry events
  • Collaborate with the broader Mid-Market international leadership team to drive scale & growth across all international markets by setting a joint strategy, balancing resources, and building for scalability
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to develop financial and operating targets, ensuring alignment with strategic plan
  • Lead on broader EMEA Mid-Market projects to identify opportunities for further acceleration and jointly build scalable processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in digital media sales, demonstrated success in building a scaled book of business and overachieving sales targets. Leads by example, defining the playbook by which their team will operate.
  • Strong people leader with 1-3 years leading sales teams, balancing retention with attracting new talent. Passionate and inclusive people manager who is dedicated to fostering an inclusive team culture.
  • Key understanding of the Mid-Market sales channel in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • Has a customer-centric approach, a strong sales mentality, and commercial acumen
  • Strong sales rigor & pipeline management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply those insights to overcome or anticipate headwinds and ensure the team is working on top-priority opportunities.
  • Experience building high-performing teams, can inspire and motivate relentless optimism
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships that will further the success of the org and its clients
  • Fluency in both English and German
