Job Description
To be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Branch, Private and Business Client scheduling and be accountable for the execution of provincial workforce tactical and operational plans. The role oversees end-to-end workforce management (forecasting, scheduling, monitoring and reporting) to ensure service level agreements are achieved, staffing contracts are adhered to, and future resourcing needs are met through accurate data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead provincial workforce planning and scheduling to ensure branches and Points of Representation (PORs) are adequately resourced during peak and off-peak periods.
- Monitor performance, overtime and capacity trends, providing analysis and recommendations to provincial leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, staffing contracts and regulatory requirements while managing workforce budgets and vendor hours.
- Build and lead a high-performing workforce team, fostering continuous improvement, coaching and stakeholder collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF7) in Business, Commerce, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, or a related field (e.g. BCom in Business Management, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, or HR Management).
- Certification in Workforce Management systems or Analytics will be beneficial.
Minimum Experience
- 3-4 years’ experience in Personal and Private Banking (PPB) or service/operational roles at management level.
- Proven expertise in workforce management, including provincial client coverage planning, forecasting, scheduling, and capacity planning, with accountability for executing workforce strategies in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and service level delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage small teams effectively, while collaborating with diverse stakeholders such as Finance, People and Culture (HR), and Operations.
- Strong analytical capability, sound risk management knowledge, and proficiency in workforce management systems such as the Branch Scheduling Tool (BST) or equivalent platforms.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Power BI, MS Excel (advanced), and other workforce analytics platforms.
