Job Description:
In this role, you will join the Edge Computing Group as part of the Platform and Customer Enabling team, focusing on delivering Edge reference solutions. As a Materials Program Manager, you will collaborate with a team responsible for the manufacturing, testing, and deployment of platforms utilizing Intel Client architecture. Platforms include reference designs that are used to enable customers and proof-of-concept models for emerging technologies.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Driving the execution of manufacturing deliverables, including building plan schedules, materials, capacity requirements, and inventory/business strategies to meet both business and customer needs.
- Leading, coordinating, and driving cross-functional efforts to support platform boards and systems from concept through design, assembly, and system integration.
- Managing interdependencies and integration among multiple programs, teams, and stakeholders, including Board Design, CAD layout, Hardware, Software, Functional Test, Material Procurement, and Contract Manufacturer/ODM.
- Serving as the key interface with stakeholders and leadership, both internally and externally.
- Exercising decision-making authority at the program level.
- Assigning tasks to team members and managing general areas of responsibility to support program goals.
- Influencing business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program objectives.
- Creating, tracking, and adjusting the program schedule.
- Ensuring progress aligns with the schedule and taking remedial action as necessary.
- Evaluating risks and identifying solutions for the timely and efficient achievement of program goals.
- Setting and refining project objectives.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
- Delivering hardware reference boards to internal and external customers.
- Exercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles, and redefine approaches.
- Collaborating with factories to minimize materials and service impact on hardware availability.
- Understanding pricing structures for each project, financial planning cycles, and maintaining records.
- Organizing hardware sampling events and managing customer demand.
- Coordinating purchase order placement and logistics.
- Demonstrating familiarity with QA processes and their impact on logistics, particularly testing.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the following minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
4+ years of experience in:
- Materials Program Management/NPI role in the consumer electronics industry
- Managing external suppliers and manufacturers.
- Operations and Supply Chain and Cross-functional leadership experience.
- Working with Project management and teamwork.
- Microsoft Office and SAP knowledge.
- Advanced English level.
The position is in Mexico; it is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship (must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico).
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates,
- Knowledge of program management methodologies for schedules, cost, quality, and risks.
- Board/systems manufacturing process.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and ODMs.
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly.
- Proficiency with Intel BOM management tools, e.g., SPEED.
- Proficiency with BOM costing tools, including BHRA, CIRA, ISH a plus.
