Must Have

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Higher education as an engineer, construction technician, constructor, architect, marine engineer or similar, or craft background with relevant experience
  • Experience with administration of contract agreements/contract follow-up
  • Experience with leading construction meetings and other meetings with contractors
  • Experience with preparing minutes from meetings with project parties
  • Experience with contact to landowners and others affected by the contract
  • Experience with material and quantity control, including calculation of work performed for interim payment requests and additional works
  • Experience with review and control of the contractor's quality documentation
  • Experience with ongoing financial management and follow-up
  • Experience with practical enforcement of contract law and handling disputes
  • Experience with participation in handover procedures

  • Experience with specialist supervision of main, large, and sub-contracts within earthworks, drainage, paving, road equipment, minor structures, and environmental conditions

Maternity leave substitute: Specialist supervision of earthworks

Odense, Vejle, Aarhus, Denmark

Your role as a maternity leave substitute

As a maternity leave substitute for Specialist Supervision of earthworks, you will be part of the Ny Banen over Vestfyn project and the Construction Management team. The team has an informal tone, where humor and commitment are part of everyday life, and where everyone supports each other. The department primarily consists of engineers, constructors, and technicians and deals with construction management, supervision, and working environment. We work for clients such as the Danish Road Directorate, Banedanmark, Energinet, and municipalities.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Assess and comment on contractors' technical inquiries and consultants' project changes
  • Prepare technical and economic decision basis of an earthwork nature for contract managers
  • Participate in construction meetings and other meetings regarding the execution of earthworks
  • Briefing and sparring with contract managers
  • Conduct client supervision and update the client's supervision control plan for earthworks

About you

  • You have between 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Long or medium-length higher education as an engineer, construction technician, constructor, architect, marine engineer or similar with relevant experience. Alternatively, craft background combined with relevant experience and education
  • Experience with administration of contract agreements/contract follow-up
  • Experience with leading construction meetings and other meetings with contractors
  • Experience with preparing minutes from meetings with project parties
  • Experience with contact to landowners and others affected by the contract
  • Experience with material and quantity control, including calculation of work performed for interim payment requests and additional works
  • Experience with review and control of the contractor's quality documentation
  • Experience with ongoing financial management and follow-up
  • Experience with practical enforcement of contract law and handling disputes, preferably with further education in contract law
