Job Description

OpenAI, in close collaboration with its capital partners, is building the world’s most advanced AI infrastructure ecosystem. The Stargate team is central to this mission, defining core infrastructure strategy and implementing it from site selection to buildout. This Electrical Coordinator role, based onsite in Burlington, TX, will oversee all electrical construction activities for hyperscale data centers, ensuring design intent, quality, and schedule are met for 50 MW+ phases of the program.
Must Have:
  • Coordinate installation of MV/LV power distribution, generators, UPS/BESS, switchgear, and grounding systems.
  • Support field QA/QC inspections and verify work against IFC drawings and specifications.
  • Interface daily with the GC, trade partners, commissioning agents, and design engineers to resolve issues in real time.
  • Track progress against schedule milestones (energization, load bank testing, IST readiness).
  • Manage RFI and submittal flow related to electrical scope, ensuring timely responses and document control.
  • Support safety, lock-out/tag-out coordination, and startup procedures.
  • Provide field feedback for design improvements and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with Mechanical and BMS teams to ensure integrated system performance.
  • 8+ years of experience managing electrical scope on mission-critical or industrial projects.
  • Understand medium-voltage distribution, switchgear sequencing, and commissioning workflows.
  • Adept at reading one-lines, schematics, and coordinating across disciplines.
  • Strong safety and quality mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, owner-side environment.

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If the role is non-exempt, overtime pay will be provided consistent with applicable laws. We are seeking an Electrical Coordinator to join our onsite delivery team at the Burlington, TX campus. This role will oversee all electrical construction activities—from underground utilities through energization—ensuring design intent, quality, and schedule are achieved across a 50 MW+ phase of the program.

In This Role, You Will
