Job Description

Philips is seeking a Modality Sales Specialist for CT in the East Region to join its young and dynamic medical imaging sales team. This role involves exciting tasks in a continuously evolving field of highly complex CT devices, focusing on image quality, diagnostic accuracy, radiation dose reduction, speed, automation, and IT system integration. The specialist will support account managers as a product expert, create configurations and price proposals, sell products to existing customers, and develop sales strategies.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge in the medical capital goods sector, IT or clinical/medical environment.
  • Very good IT knowledge, especially in Healthcare Informatics and eHealth.
Must Have:
  • Support (Key) Account Managers in the sales process as a product expert for devices, software, solutions, and services.
  • Create needs-based product configurations, service models, and price proposals.
  • Offer and sell products, upgrades, and consumables to existing customers.
  • Conduct offer presentations and negotiations.
  • Perform product demonstrations, trainings, and convey product and market knowledge at external events and customer visits.
  • Develop sales strategies, needs analyses, and sales targets in assigned districts/areas of responsibility.
  • Observe competition and provide feedback for product offering expansion in collaboration with R&D.
  • Process customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Create monthly business forecasts and manage leads.
  • Successfully completed studies (technical, business, medical) or extensive clinical experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in sales of medical systems, solutions, and/or healthcare consulting.
  • Very good knowledge of healthcare processes and good medical knowledge.
  • Enjoyment in customer interaction, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High initiative and goal-orientation.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High commitment and willingness to travel.
  • Motivation for independent work and efficient organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern IT/communication tools.
  • Fluent German and English skills.

In the young and dynamic team of the medical imaging business unit, we are looking for support for the sales of our CT. You can expect exciting tasks in an area characterized by continuous further development of these highly complex devices. In addition to image quality and diagnostic accuracy, topics such as radiation dose reduction, speed, automation, and integration into IT systems are also in focus.

Your Job:

  • Support (Key) Account Managers in the sales process as a product expert for devices, software, solutions, and services.
  • Creation of needs-based product configurations, service models, and price proposals.
  • Offer creation and sale of products, upgrades, and consumables to existing customers.
  • Collaboration and continuous exchange with your colleagues from application, service, and clinical science.
  • Conducting offer presentations and negotiations.
  • Product demonstrations, trainings, and conveying product and market knowledge at external events and customer visits.
  • Development of sales strategies, needs analyses, and sales targets in the assigned districts or areas of responsibility.
  • Development of local sales concepts for product positioning in the team.
  • Observation of the competition and provision of feedback for product offering expansion in collaboration with R&D.
  • Processing of customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Collaboration with (Software) Customer Service for continuous improvement.
  • Creation of monthly business forecasts and lead management.

You should bring the following:

  • Successfully completed studies (technical, business administration, medical) or many years of clinical experience (with specialist training or research).
  • Several years of professional experience in sales of medical systems, solutions and/or consulting (Healthcare).
  • Ideally, knowledge in the medical capital goods sector, IT, or clinical/medical environment.
  • Very good knowledge of healthcare processes and good medical knowledge.
  • Ideally, very good IT knowledge, especially in Healthcare Informatics and eHealth.
  • Enjoyment in dealing with customers as well as negotiation and communication skills.
  • A high degree of initiative and determination.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate to the right places.
  • A high level of commitment and willingness to travel.
  • Motivation for independent work and efficient organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as modern IT and communication tools.
  • Fluent German and English skills.
