At Illumina, the Multiomics Sales Specialist for Central Europe drives the adoption of next-generation sequencing (NGS) solutions for multiomics research. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver Illumina’s integrated multiomics portfolio, enabling breakthroughs in genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics. Must Have

  • Drive multiomics sales budget for Central Europe.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plan for multiomics segment.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to customers on applications, assay design, data interpretation.
  • Deliver product presentations and lead consultative discussions on multiomics solutions.
  • Train and support sales team on multiomics value proposition.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and service teams.
  • Expand and nurture network of multiomics service providers.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends to shape sales strategies.
  • Represent Illumina at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, or Biochemistry (MSc with relevant lab experience considered).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region (approx. 60%).

The Role

As a Multiomics Sales Specialist here, you will be at the forefront of driving adoption of next-generation sequencing (NGS) solutions that power multiomics research and analysis. This role is pivotal in supporting academic and clinical institutions, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the Central Europe Subregion. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver Illumina’s integrated multiomics portfolio, enabling breakthroughs in genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics.

Why You

You are a dynamic, results-driven professional with strong expertise in at least two omics disciplines - such as transcriptomics (single-cell or spatial), epigenetics, or proteomics. You thrive in consultative sales environments, combining scientific knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver value to customers. You are proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about advancing multiomics technologies. A PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is highly desirable, though an MSc with relevant laboratory experience will also be considered.

To succeed, you will bring:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs, articulate value propositions, and lead successful sales engagements.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region (approx. 60%).
  • A valid driving licence is essential for this role.
  • Fluency in business English required; additional Eastern European languages (e.g., Polish, Czech) are an advantage.
