Job Summary

The Executive Director for Arizona and New Mexico serves as the primary business lead for their market, bridging field operations with Aledade's centralized support. This role focuses on ACO-specific business, aligning clinical initiatives with financial savings goals, and guiding field team interactions with practices. Key responsibilities include setting market strategy, driving business development, managing financial accountability, and overseeing ACO Profit & Loss. The ED also leads regional growth efforts, manages ACO Boards, and fosters the professional development of direct reports, ensuring operational excellence and maximizing financial returns within the market.

Job Description

The AZ and NM Executive Director (ED) is the business leads in their market. They act as a link between the field and Aledade Centralized support teams, focusing on ACO-specific business operations. EDs partner with Regional and Senior Medical Directors to align clinical initiatives with savings goals and provide the business case and direction for field team practice interactions.

Primary Duties:

  • Works with Senior Leadership to set the strategic direction for the Arizona and New Mexico market.
  • Responsible for business development and relationship management at the market level.
  • Provides support and direction to Market Manager(s), Practice Transformation Specialist(s) in Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Assumes Financial Accountability for their market with a heavier focus on operational excellence.
  • ACO Strategy- Set and achieve annual savings and quality targets for contracts and practices, in alignment with current year Revenue Performance Priorities and in conjunction with the VPs and Directors of Provider Networks teams as applicable.
  • Regional Growth & Development- Collaborate with Central Growth and local field team to identify and establish partnerships with new physician practices; establish connections with key regional and local partner organizations (e.g., health systems, specialists, ancillary groups, post-acute providers, etc.) to achieve targets.
  • ED ACO Leadership and Operations- Manage ACO Profit & Loss and Actively interface between ACO operations teams and Aledade Centralized Support teams to maximize financial returns. Lead local and/or multi-state ACO Boards. Liaison between ACO Board and Aledade Centralized Support teams. EDs without a Market Manager would be responsible for a higher percentage of this work.
  • Professional Development of Direct Reports - Support the professional development goals and endeavors of direct reports, guiding their aspirations to align with company goals and OKRs. Proactively develops succession planning goals and pathways to ensure a smooth transition for future market EDs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Resident of the state of Arizona or New Mexico
  • 10+ years of related experience working as a client-facing project lead in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, hospital, pharmaceutical manufacturer, government, pharmacy chain, management consulting) with a proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships and communicating effectively with senior management.
  • 7+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years of Value Based Care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in health services research, health policy, healthcare administration, mathematics/statistics, information technology, or other relevant fields.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed
