Motorola Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Unified Communications team in Allen, TX. This role involves working in an Agile/Scrum team to automate deployment processes, support application testing during software upgrades, and explore automation tools for repetitive tasks. The intern will contribute to developing scalable software platforms and communication applications for first responders and industrial workgroups, leveraging Motorola's rich heritage in critical communications.

Must Have

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an allied discipline.
  • Graduation date must occur on or after December 2026.
  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum team to build and support the automating deployment process and tools.
  • Provide support in testing the application during and after software upgrades.
  • Explore automation tools to automate repetitive tasks.

Good to Have

  • Experience in any scripting language (python, shell)
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience using version control; Git
  • Experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of automation using ansible
  • Understanding of virtualized environments
