NLP Research Intern

LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS is a game development company focused on creating immersive experiences with great stories, gameplay, and advanced technology. The Lightspeed Tech Center, an R&D department, drives research and innovation, providing technical support for games like PUBG Mobile. This NLP Research Intern role involves contributing to cutting-edge research in NLP and machine learning, training large language models (LLMs) for innovative tasks, and collaborating with the team from prototyping to production.

Must Have

• Hands-on experience with Python and deep learning frameworks.

Good to Have

• Publication experience in a top-tier NLP/ML conference or journal (e.g., ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, EACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML) is preferred.

About the Hiring Team

Lightspeed Tech Center is a R&D department under Lightspeed Studios which develop PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of life cycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, next generation game, technical cooperation, etc.

What the Role Entails

Job Responsibilities:

1. Drive and contribute to cutting-edge research projects in NLP and machine learning.

2. Train large language models (LLMs) on innovative and practical tasks.

3. Collaborate with team members from prototyping to production.

Salary

Annual salary: negotiable (with raises/bonuses)

• Experience, skills, etc. will be considered and preferential treatment will be given according to company regulations.
• For general employees, fixed overtime pay for 35 hours per month is included.
• For managerial positions, fixed overtime pay for 10 hours is included.

Working Hours/Holidays

Working hours: 09:30 ~ 18:30, Break time: 60 minutes

Flex-time available

Complete two-day weekend system (Sat, Sun, holidays)

Paid leave: For the first year of employment, prorated according to the month of joining. Up to 22 days based on years of service.

Year-end and New Year holidays (Dec 30 - Jan 3)
