Job Summary

As a Director of AI Engineering, you will lead the deployment of innovative AI Products across Nasdaq. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, conducting code reviews and design meetings, and working with global teams. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and improving ML Systems on AWS to meet high reliability standards, and deploying AI Agents across various financial divisions. The ideal candidate is high-agency and thrives in fast-paced environments.

Must Have

  • Lead a team of Software Engineers, providing mentorship and agile guidance using the Atlassian stack.
  • Conduct code reviews and design meetings, maintaining high velocity and code quality leveraging CI/CD and AI tools.
  • Work effectively with distributed internal business and technical partners across time zones.
  • Design, deploy, and improve ML Systems built on AWS to comply with ultra-low latency and ultra-high reliability standards.
  • Design, deploy, and improve AI Agents across Market Platforms, Capital Access Platforms, and Anti-Financial Crime divisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Several years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Clear communication skills with experience in leading engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in AWS.

  • Experience in capital markets, FinTech, or a regulated industry.
  • Exposure to global teams in cross-border collaboration.

Job Description

As a Director of AI Engineering, you’ll play a critical role in deploying innovative AI Products across the company. You’ll thrive in this position if you’re high agency, work well with global teams, and are excited about working in fast-paced environments.

The AI Core Dev team, comprised of Research, Engineering and Project Management, build AI capabilities across Nasdaq’s entire portfolio of products.

Our specialized team has brought AI powered Options, Index, and Data Integrity products to market as well as deployed custom LLM powered Chat, Document Processing, Report Generation and Code Generation tools for our employees. Engineering is chiefly responsible for increasing research productivity and deploying models and agents into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team of Software Engineers - working across multiple products, conduct 1-1s with the team members and providing Engineering Mentorship, agile way of working with Atlassian stack
  • Conduct Code Reviews and Design Meetings - maintain high velocity and high code quality standards leveraging CI/CD, code Reviews, and AI Tools including Github Copilot and custom LLM coding applications built on internal Generative AI Platform
  • Work with Distributed Team - partner with internal business and technical partners across time zones, lead bi-weekly sprint reviews
  • Deploy ML Systems - design, deploy and improve ML Systems built on AWS to comply with Ultra Low Latency and Ultra High Reliability standards
  • Deploy AI Agents - design, deploy and improve AI Agents across Market Platforms, Capital Access Platforms and Anti-Financial Crime divisions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Several years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science or related field
  • Clear communicator with experience in leading engineering teams
  • Proficiency in AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in capital markets, FinTech, or regulated industry
  • Exposure to global teams in cross-border collaboration

This position will be located in Vilnius and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is 4500 – 6400 EUR gross. Actual pay depends on your skills, experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, we offer short-term incentives (bonus or commission) and long-term incentives (equity), where applicable, as well as the following benefits:
