Job Summary

As a Surveillance Specialist at Nasdaq, you will be responsible for Baltic Market Trading & Issuer surveillance, ensuring efficient interaction with regulatory bodies. This role involves monitoring and reviewing account transactions to prevent market manipulation and ensure appropriateness. You will perform surveillance for Nasdaq Tallinn issuers and members, supervise compliance with MAR and Exchange rules, and conduct trading surveillance across various Baltic instruments. The specialist will also handle real-time alerts, trading halts, and prepare reports, communicating with Baltic FSAs on suspected market abuse.

Must Have

  • Perform Nasdaq Tallinn issuers surveillance
  • Supervise issuers compliance with MAR and Exchange rules, disclosure obligation
  • Initiate investigations and refer matters to Nasdaq Tallinn Surveillance committee
  • Coordinate Baltic Issuers surveillance
  • Conduct trading surveillance in all Nasdaq Baltic instruments: equities, fixed income and fund units
  • Perform Nasdaq Baltic members surveillance
  • Handle real time alerts, trading halts, trade cancellations
  • Take decisions on instrument suspensions/observation status
  • Prepare and update various surveillance policies, rules, guidelines, reports
  • Communicate and prepare cases to the Baltic FSA's concerning suspected market abuse, market manipulation

As Surveillance Specialist you will be responsible for Baltic Market Trading & Issuer surveillance, efficient and high-quality interaction with regulatory surveillance bodies and work in Nasdaq Baltic Transaction Services team. Monitors and reviews account transactions to ensure appropriateness. Reviews all aspects of account transactions, typically having a specific focus on potential market manipulation, transaction appropriateness issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Nasdaq Tallinn issuers surveillance
  • Supervise issuers compliance with MAR and Exchange rules, disclosure obligation
  • Initiate investigations and refer matters to Nasdaq Tallinn Surveillance committee

Requirements:

  • Education Required: Bachelor, Masters or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent Estonian & English language skills
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own field and basic knowledge of related subject areas
  • Ability to adapt and communicate with various partners
  • Is fully self-sufficient and competent regarding output quality and quantity
  • Analytical thinking and attention to details
  • Good excel skills and SQL knowledge is an advantage
