Contract QA Functional Tester (6 months)

Proofpoint is seeking a Contract QA Functional Tester for a 6-month temporary role to optimize sales and service experience. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to provide project leadership and Quality Assurance testing for Business Application systems like Salesforce.com and MuleSoft. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, developing test scenarios, documenting test plans, executing functional testing, and designing automation test scenarios to improve solution quality and security.

Must Have

• 4-5 years’ experience with analysis of software systems and writing QA Test Scenarios and Plans for business software applications such as Salesforce Sales and CPQ, and MS Dynamics 365 Finance (D365), as well as integration tools such as MuleSoft.
• Strong (intermediate) understanding and experience with Salesforce.com basic platform features such as Security Model, Standard Objects, Custom Objects, Visual Force Pages, Process Automation, Lightning Components.
• Good knowledge of Sales Quote-to-Cash and Finance (Orders and Invoices) subject matter and processes.
• Good knowledge of Sales (Salesforce), Finance (D365) and related systems and their standard capabilities.
• Skilled in one or more query language (SQL or no-SQL) tools to extract and compare data from Enterprise Databases.
• 2+ year experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• 1+ year experience with SQL query tools and connecting with multiple types of databases.
• Able to meet with business between core hours between 8am and 1pm Pacific Time for training, requirements review with business contacts, and issue resolution with engineering.

Good to Have

• Experience in one or more API system integration tools (like MuleSoft, Workato, Postman).
• One or more Salesforce.com Certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I) and equivalent for D365.

The Role

We are constantly seeking to optimize our sales and service experience. In this temp role you will work with our cross-functional teams to provide project leadership and Quality Assurance testing of our Business Application systems (Salesforce.com, MuleSoft and related application platforms) to improve the quality and security of our Business Application solutions used throughout the organization to sell to and support our customers.

Your day-to-day

• Collaborate with Stakeholder, Business Systems Analysts, and Engineering to understand the functionality and behavior being implemented and develop positive and negative scenarios that exercise the feature well
• Lead specific projects to see the testing and issue reporting is executed consistently
• Document test plans, scenarios, and processes and setup reviews to gather multiple points of view
• Execute functional testing, document issues found, and follow-up on issues to resolution
• Design automation test scenarios and work with QA engineers who will build automated tests
• Expand your knowledge of business operations and systems to improve the coverage and quality of QA testing

What you bring to the team

• Effective communication, both written and verbal
• 4-5 years’ experience with analysis of software systems and writing QA Test Scenarios and Plans for business software applications such as Salesforce Sales and CPQ, and MS Dynamics 365 Finance (D365), as well as integration tools such as MuleSoft.
