Senior Specialist -Software Developer

Nasdaq Technology is seeking a passionate Senior Specialist, Software Developer to join its Bangalore team. This role focuses on platform modernization, PWA development, and enhancing Nasdaq’s financial services web platform for stock market research and data analysis. The developer will lead strategic initiatives, integrate third-party data, modernize legacy codebases, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Must Have

• Develop and implement software solutions
• Lead build and implementation of a Progressive Web Application (PWA)
• Responsible for app store deployment and mobile packaging processes
• Architect and integrate third-party data sources for scalability and reliability
• Modernize legacy codebases, including language upgrades and dependency management
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to optimize performance and maintain code quality
• Coordinate with QA, infrastructure, and data teams for smooth deployments
• Mentor junior developers and foster technical perfection
• Proven experience of 7+ years in software development with leadership experience
• Proficiency in PHP, Javascript/Typescript
• Experience with Zend Framework (PHP), LitElement (JS/TS) or similar frameworks like React, Vue, Angular
• Experience with PHP-based APIs, coordination with Java microservices, Front-end web component design
• Proficiency in Git, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Docker, containerized environments, CI/CD orchestration
• Experience with observability and performance monitoring tools, Front-end performance tuning
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent education

Good to Have

• AWS cloud experience and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Familiarity with Bootstrap and modern CSS frameworks
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with observability and performance monitoring tools

Role Responsibilities -

As a Senior Specialist, Software Developer, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

• We lead build and implementation of a Progressive Web Application (PWA) for the platform.

We expect you to have:​

• Proven experience of 7+ years in software development with leadership experience
• Programming Languages: PHP, Javascript/Typescript

• Architecture: PHP-based APIs, coordination with Java microservices, Front-end web component design
• Version Control & Collaboration: Git, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Containerization & CI/CD: Docker, experience with containerized environments, CI/CD orchestration
• Performance Optimization: Use of observability and performance monitoring tools, Front-end performance tuning
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
• Education Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
