This role is for a Senior Gameplay Planner at Level Infinite, Tencent's international gaming brand, focusing on long-term gameplay expansion for top-tier ACG mobile games published overseas. The role involves acting as a core design expert, guiding external R&D teams, and leading the development and implementation of new permanent gameplay modules, including core design, system and numerical framework setup, balance tuning, and integration with the game's economy and seasonal updates.

Must Have

  • Responsible for long-term gameplay expansion of overseas top-tier ACG mobile games
  • Act as a core design expert for publishing, deeply involved in guiding external R&D teams
  • Lead the development and implementation of new permanent gameplay modules
  • Design and plan core gameplay for new permanent modules, leading product direction
  • Build and balance gameplay/numerical frameworks, ensuring strategic depth and long-term playability
  • Guide R&D teams and drive execution and tuning
  • Design resource circulation mechanisms for new gameplay and main line progression
  • Plan seasonal update rhythms and associated reward/honor systems
  • Over 5 years of game planning experience
  • First-line R&D experience (system/combat/numerical planner)
  • Proficient in strategy system design (card battles, turn-based, wargames, real-time combat)
  • Skilled in multi-unit coordination, skill synergy, complex numerical balance
  • Capable of building high-freedom strategic environments
  • Able to independently output high-standard system proposals
  • Experience in balance testing
  • Heavy ACG user, deeply understands character value in ACG games
  • Knows how to amplify character charm through gameplay mechanics
  • In-depth experience with global mainstream products and their derivative gameplay

Good to Have

  • Experience with complete project development from 0 to 1 or large expansion pack development
  • Good understanding of physical board games

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the long-term gameplay expansion of overseas top-tier ACG mobile games. This role will serve as a core design expert on the publishing side, deeply involved in guiding external R&D teams, and leading the development and implementation of new permanent gameplay modules within the game.

1. Responsible for the core gameplay design and planning of new permanent gameplay modules within the game, leading the product direction, and responsible for building and balancing the gameplay framework/numerical framework to ensure strategic depth and long-term playability.

2. R&D Collaboration and Supervision: As the "design lead" on the publishing side, guide the R&D team and drive the R&D team to execute and tune.

3. Ecosystem Construction and Commercialization Integration: Design the resource circulation mechanism between new gameplay and main line progression, and plan the seasonal update rhythm and accompanying reward/honor system for this gameplay.

Job Requirements

1. Qualifications and Background:

  • Over 5 years of game planning experience, with first-line R&D experience (previously served as a system/combat/numerical planner in an R&D team).
  • Experience with complete project development from 0 to 1 or large expansion pack development is preferred.

2. Professional Capabilities:

  • Proficient in strategy system design: Deep research into card battles, turn-based strategy, wargames, or real-time combat gameplay. Skilled in handling multi-unit coordination, skill synergy, and complex numerical balance, capable of building highly free-form strategic environments.
  • Able to independently output high-standard system proposals, with some experience in balance testing.
  • Good understanding of physical board games is preferred.

3. User Understanding:

  • Heavy ACG user, deeply understands the core value of "characters" in ACG games, knows how to amplify character charm through gameplay mechanics.
  • In-depth experience with global mainstream products and their derivative gameplay.
