Moon Active is seeking a passionate Level Designer to create world-leading player experiences. This role involves crafting fun and high-performing content, designing new gameplay features, and using data to analyze and improve work. The designer will visualize user experiences, write clear specifications, partner with technical teams, and manage the level design lifecycle, ensuring faster delivery of high-quality content for one of the world's leading games.
Must Have
- Create best-in-class casual content in line with design pillars.
- Visualize and prototype user experiences and flows using design tools.
- Take ownership of feature definitions and write clear specifications.
- Partner with the technical team to define functional requirements for internal tools.
- Use data to inform and balance existing content and form hypotheses.
- Manage the level design lifecycle from requirements gathering to execution.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and lead optimization of the content pipeline.
- Previous experience as a Level Designer or Game Designer with a strong focus on content creation.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or similar.
- Keen eye for UX and visual storytelling.
- Proven experience in defining features and writing detailed design specifications.
- Ability to analyze design workflows and drive operational improvements.
- Strong passion for gaming, particularly casual mobile games.
- Solid grasp of design methodologies and knowledge of the casual/puzzle market.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, "can-do" attitude (ownership driven).
Good to Have
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools for ideation or content generation.

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting world-leading player experiences, combining excellent level design skills with a strong grasp of User Experience (UX).
You’ll deliver fun and high-performing content, spec and design new gameplay features, and use data to analyze, tune, and improve your work. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the world's leading games with a team of passionate Game Designers.
Responsibilities
- Create best-in-class casual content in line with our design pillars to excite and engage players.
- Visualize and prototype user experiences and flows using design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop) to communicate ideas effectively.
- Take ownership of feature definitions, write clear specifications for new gameplay elements and mechanics.
- Partner with the technical team to define functional requirements for internal tools, streamlining the map creation process.
- Use data to inform and balance existing content and form hypotheses for future content.
- Demonstrate "out-of-the-box" thinking, potentially exploring new technologies (such as AI tools) to enhance creativity and workflow efficiency.
- Manage the level design lifecycle from requirements gathering to execution, leading cross-functional coordination with Production, QA, Art, and Game Economy.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and lead the optimization of the content pipeline to ensure faster delivery of high-quality content.
Requirements
