Job Description

As a Nuke Pipeline TD, you will join a global pipeline team to develop Nuke-related tools and collaborate with departments using Nuke to gather requirements and propose solutions for improved efficiency. Key responsibilities include analyzing and enhancing Nuke pipelines, providing support to compositing and prep teams, and contributing to roadmap topics. You will work in sprints, participate in code reviews, and write user and technical documentation.
Good To Have:
  • UI development using PySide / PyQt.
  • Reasonably comfortable with Flow Production Tracking/ShotGrid and Deadline API.
  • Experience with sequence-based approaches to compositing.
  • Experience with and writing Python for RV.
  • Experience with Regular Expressions.
  • Experience with ML tools and workflows for Nuke.
  • Experience with BlinkScript.
  • Experience as a compositing artist.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices.
  • Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
  • Understanding of the Windows and Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience with utilizing generative AI for development tasks.
  • Experience with C++ and building third-party, open-source software.

  • Take part in code reviews, submit your own and provide constructive feedback.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Comp/Nuke TD in the VFX industry.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python.
  • Extensive knowledge of Nuke.
  • Extensive knowledge of color management and OCIO workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with Nuke's Python API and writing Gizmos.
  • Knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with TCL.
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
  • Expert Python and software development skills, including unit-tests and PEP8.
  • Expert problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Able to communicate solutions to issues clearly and concisely.
  • Able to convert concepts and workflows into process diagrams.
